How Flick Vote works
Settle what to watch in about five minutes.
- One person starts. Tap Create a Session and pick the streaming services, genres, rating, era and length. You get a five-letter room code.
- Everyone else joins. They open flickvote.app, enter their name and the code, or scan the QR code shown in the lobby. Up to five players.
- The captain locks the lobby. Voting starts, and nobody can join after that.
- Rank your top three. Tap a movie for 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd. Tap it again to undo. Use the ban button, or press and hold a row, to veto one movie you refuse to watch.
- A winner is crowned. First choices score 3 points, second 2, third 1. A veto knocks a film out entirely. Ties go to the captain's ranking, or a coin flip.
Rooms last six hours. Refreshing is safe — you drop straight back into your session. To bow out, use Leave beside the room code.
On your own? Voting needs a group, so tap Find me something on the home screen instead. You pick the same filters and get a shortlist to browse — no room code, no ballot. Tap any title for the trailer, cast and where to stream it.
Keep it on your phone
Flick Vote can be added to your home screen like an app — its own icon, no browser bar, and it stays up to date on its own. Nothing to download, and no app store involved.
In Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, then Add.
In Chrome, tap Install when it offers, or open the ⋮ menu and choose Install app.
